What scenes greet you at the break of day? What thoughts return to begin spinning through that mind?
We are just back from a refreshing spring break away in Riverton, New Zealand and this is the scene that greeted us each morning. With the suns rays peering through the clouds onto distant Invercargill the kids were calling, “Mum, get your camera. Get a photo.”
What is your response to a ‘good morning’ like this? Do you jump to action, take a moment to sit and ponder or hide away not ready to face all the day holds?
As a family we have been contemplating worship and what it will be like to worship God day and night in heaven.
“…they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple…” (Rev 7:15)
A place where the angels never stop proclaiming the greatness of God.
Day and night they never stop saying: “‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” (Rev 4:8)
We made a list of things that might help us think of God all day long to prepare us for this eternal worship. This photo reminds me of one of these great ideas. In fact it is one that Miss 6 has taken to suddenly shouting out with emphasis mid-meal.
See something beautiful?
STOP and praise Him!
What a great response to a ‘good morning,’ whatever your good morning is. Have you stopped to praise the one who made it, gave it and sustains it? Greet the scenes of the morning and interrupt spinning thoughts to give glory to the one who is worthy of all praise.
A good morning is as good a place as any to prepare for heaven.
This post is in response to the wordpress weekly photo challenge. THIS WEEK, SHOW US A PHOTO THAT SAYS “GOOD MORNING!”
