Back in November, we were in the Christmas countdown. Gifts were being organised and the annual calendar gift for the grandparents suddenly loomed. It sneaks up on me every year. What pictures would I use this year? It’s always a bit of a job to hunt through the photo’s to find ones up to date and suitable. Then there is the fact that there is a distinct absence of whole family shots. For some strange reason I am noticeably missing from the photo files.
So with the excuse of our Wedding Anniversary we ALL got dressed up and headed out for a Pizza. But on the way we stopped at a great spot at the top of the Gardens where the grass was growing wild & free. We spent an hour having some fun frolicking in the grass with the help of the camera, tripod & very helpful self timer. Here are the results of our attempt at a family photo shoot.
The resulting calendars provided a nicely themed record of our family in 2012.
What a lot of fun as we celebrated our Anniversary! As we ate pizza we shared memories and laughs from the last 14 years, with the kids delighting to hear stories of the early years. It was so good to pause, enjoy each others company, and remember together what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives.
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
