This image was taken last autumn and was an image that struck me from the minute my finger pressed the button. It is such a stark contrast of death and life. Yet more than that, the death of the old is making way for new life, the hint of spring to come. Here more than ever I sense the testimony of our invisible God, testifying through His creation, to the truth of renewal that comes through death. We are not left with this testimony alone. For in His word he also testifies to death making way for life…
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)
